Haruna Iddrisu, the Minister of Education and Member of Parliament for Temale South, has donated computers to Navrongo SHS with the aim of improving ICT education in the school.
This donation came through after he pledged to give the school computers during their school’s Speech and Prize-Giving Day in 2024.
Navrongo SHS Receives Computers from Haruna Iddrisu
Navrongo Senior High School warmly welcomed their old student, Haruna Iddrisu, who came to them with ten desktop computers to help them boost the teaching and learning of ICT.
Mery Babachuweh, the headmistress of Navrongo SHS, made some points about how the lack of computers and other facilities are negatively impacting the teaching and learning of Information Communication and Technology.
She appealed to the general public and government to come to their aid, she also pleaded with their alumni to support in their small way to help the continuing student enjoy the best of education as others.
As a special guest at the event, He responded by donating GHC 100,000 to the school and pledged to further provide computers to enhance ICT education for students.

At a brief ceremony to present the computers, Evans Abaluk, who represented Haruna Iddrisu, reaffirmed his commitment to the development of the school. He urged management to ensure that the computers were properly maintained and used effectively to benefit students for years to come.
The headmistress expressed how happy she was to receive the donation from the Minister of Education; she also thanked everyone on behalf of her staff. She assured him that the computers would be used responsibly to support both current and future students.

Meanwhile, Joel Avoka, the Senior Boys’ Prefect, also thanked the Minister for his generosity. He further appealed for internet turbo routers and projectors to enhance the effective use of the computers in teaching and learning.
